Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal has said that it is necessary for the civil service to be technology-friendly, creative, customer-friendly and result-oriented.

Speaking at a program organized on the occasion of the 21st Civil Service Day in Kathmandu on Saturday, Chief Secretary Aryal said that there are various challenges to protect the dignity of civil administration in the past.

He said that to address the new dimensions created in the governance system of Nepal along with the changing world environment, it is necessary for the civil service to be technology-friendly, creative, customer-friendly and result-oriented. He said that civil service has a major role in guaranteeing good governance by ensuring equal and easy access of the people to service facilities.

He said, 'to protect the dignity of the civil administration in the past, various challenges have arisen in front of us today. In order to address the new dimensions created in the governance system of Nepal along with the changing world environment, it is necessary for the civil service to be technology-friendly, creative, customer-friendly and result-oriented. It is well known that the civil service plays a major role in ensuring good governance by making public administration clean, competent, fair, transparent, corruption-free, responsive and participatory, ensuring equal and easy access of the people to the services provided by the state.

Chief Secretary Aryal instructed all employees to serve the public with a positive attitude towards their duties and responsibilities with high morale.
