A three-day international conference on gender inclusion in national human rights organizations, organized by the National Human Rights Commission of Nepal and in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Forum (APF), was concluded on Thursday.

The conference, which started on August 18, emphasized on the implementation of the declarations issued at the international level on gender inclusion. Australia, Bangladesh, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Qatar, Samoa, Thailand, Timor Leste, and representatives of 19 countries in the Asia Pacific region are participating in the

On the first day, the review of the implementation of the conclusions of the conference in Amman, Jordan in 2012 regarding women's participation as directed by the Paris Principles of 1993, and the status of gender mainstreaming within the national human rights institutions were discussed.

On the second day, 'gender perspective in law and policy', how to enable the work of human rights organizations with citizens and the role of human rights organizations in the Asia Pacific region in promoting intersectionality was discussed. conference was inaugurated by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and concluded by Deputy Prime Minister Prakashman Singh.
