Three names have been recommended for the CEO of Nepal Tourism Board. Sources said that a three-member 'Executive Chief Selection Sub-Committee' chaired by Indu Ghimire, a board member and joint secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, proposed the names of three people from among the last 14 candidates for the position of CEO.

Among the proposed names are former CEO Deepakraj Joshi, outgoing CEO Dhanjay Regmi and Dyaneshwar Singh Mahato.

Three names will be chosen as the CEO by the Board of Directors chaired by Tourism Secretary Ganesh Pandey from the Thursday meeting organized by the board's board of directors.

After the tenure of the then CEO Dhananjay Regmi ended on 14th January 2080, the board was without a CEO. In order to appoint a CEO there, the Board of Directors chaired by the then Tourism Secretary Deepak Kafle invited applications for the CEO on 080 Chait 24. The criteria for the CEO of the board, which has 64 employees, was to have been involved in the tourism sector for at least 10 years and to have passed a master's degree. In the advertisement made by the

board for the CEO, its employees Hikmatsingh Air, Shraddha Shrestha, Santoshvikram Thapa, Laxman Gautam and Navin Pokharel had applied.

Similarly Vijay Nepal, Padam Van, Thakur Devkota, Rajaram KC, Gyanin Rai, Dyaneshwar Mahato, Surya Bahadur Ghimire, Gyanendra Adhikari, Deepak Bastakoti, Chaksu Malla, Kamal Dodhri, Ramchandra Sedai, Ramraja Giri had applied. Likewise, the current CEO of the board, Dr. 20 people, including Dhananjaya Regmi and former CEO Deepakraj Joshi, submitted the application.
