Deepak Raj Joshi has been appointed as the CEO of Nepal Tourism Board. The three-member 'Executive Chief Selection Sub-Committee', chaired by Indu Ghimire, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, recommended the names of Joshi, Dhananjay Regmi and Dnyaneshwar Singh Mahato from among the last 14 candidates on Thursday.



It was decided to appoint Joshi after discussing the names of three people in the board's meeting on Thursday. Joshi has also worked as CEO before.

After the term of the then CEO Dhananjay Regmi ended on 14 Jan 2080, the board was without a CEO . To appoint a CEO there, the Board of Directors chaired by the then Tourism Secretary Deepak Kafle invited applications for the CEO on 080 Chait 24. The criteria for the CEO of the board, which has 64 employees, was to have been involved in the tourism sector for at least 10 years and to have passed a master's degree.
