A 54-year-old man has been arrested from Kuleshwar Awas area of Kathmandu on charges of rape.

The accused man was arrested on Thursday based on the report prepared by the monitoring team of Kathmandu Metropolitan City after the girl reported that she was in danger.

The victim girl has been living as a domestic worker in the man's house for the past 6 years and has been forced to do it for three years . The girl is now 17 years old.

Dheeraj Joshi, a member of the secretariat of Balendra Shah, the head of the metropolis, informed that the accused person has been kept in the Kalimati police circle.

Kathmandu Metropolis is studying the situation of children studying in public schools except for three generations of relatives . At the same time, the metropolis came to know about the condition of the girl based on the details received by the trainee student mobilized by the metropolis.
