During the expansion of the Narayangadh-Butwal road section, the trenches and construction materials have made it very difficult to travel through the east-west highway. Passengers have to suffer due to dust and mud. There is a risk of vehicle damage and accidents due to potholes. After suffering a lot, passengers have started looking for alternatives to this road.

Vehicles going from Bardghat to Butwal and Bhairahawa are leaving through the inner road as an alternative to the East-West highway. Passengers going to Bhairahwa will reach Narayanchowk via Dakshin Chaupatta from Bardghat. From there, after traveling west for 13 km on the Hulaki road, the headquarter will reach Parasi Bazar. Then Bhairahawa is reached at a distance of 24 km. Passengers going to Butwal also use this route.

From Bardghat, you reach Parasi via Choupatta, Narayan Chowk, Jamunia Bazar, Bhataulia, Manhari. Those who want to take a shorter route go from Bardghat via Triveni road to Chowpatta Bazar exit Jamunia via Hulaki road to Parasi.

Road construction work has started at Bardghat in West Nawalparasi as an alternative to the southern section of the East-West Highway. The road has been started by connecting Dumkibas of Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality of Gandaki Province from Bardghat Municipality of Lumbini Province.

This road, which is going to be expanded as an access road to connect hilly areas from Bardghat Municipality-10, will become an alternative route for the southern section after its construction. Passengers will be relieved to some extent from the daily traffic jams in Downe.

There is a problem of traffic jams for hours when the road is blocked due to landslides and other reasons. To eliminate this problem, the construction of paved roads has been progressed as a multi-year plan. Roads are washed away due to heavy rains and landslides during winter and dry landslides have started to occur on the mountain roads, causing problems in vehicle operation. As the risk of accidents increases day by day, local residents, transporters and even passengers have been demanding to find an alternative solution to this road.

Durga Bahadur Nepali, a motorist, complained that he had to drive in fear of an accident due to potholes and dust on the Narayangadh-Butwal road section. "Passengers would rather travel somewhere, we have to walk on this route on a daily basis, we don't know where and when there will be traffic jams," he said. Until this road is built, an alternative route should be found.'

A dirt road was constructed a few years ago to provide access to the center of the municipality for the residents of Bardghat municipality. Now that road is going to be developed as a paved road and used as an alternative route to the south road. A 14 km road has to be constructed from Bardghat Municipality 10 Bhutaha to Dumkiwas of Vinayi Triveni. So far only 4 km of road has been built.
