The Nepal Red Cross Society has stated that a separate Red Cross law is necessary to organize humanitarian work in Nepal. On Wednesday, in a program organized in connection with the 62nd foundation day of the society, the general minister of the society, Bhupati Lal Shrestha, said that the government needs to make a separate law to regulate the Red Cross and its activities.

As humanitarian crises of different nature are emerging in the country according to time, he said that law is necessary to provide timely services.

Chief Minister Shrestha said that Nepal Red Cross Society has been facing many problems recently due to the lack of laws. He emphasized on the wish of all Red Cross workers that the Red Cross works should be organized through the Red Cross Law. He said that humanitarian principles and basic beliefs can be fulfilled only if the work of the Red Cross is organized legally.

He said, 'Nepal Red Cross Society has been experiencing recent experiences. It is the desire of all Red Cross workers that the Red Cross work should be organized through the Red Cross Law. Only if we can organize the work of the Red Cross legally, we can fulfill the humanitarian principles and basic beliefs. The Red Cross Law is indispensable for providing services easily in the community. There has not been satisfactory progress in making laws. On the occasion of the foundation day, the Red Cross workers have issued a message that the Red Cross Law is necessary. The society expects everyone's sincere cooperation.
