Sunita Dangol, the deputy head of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has objected to the major level decision of the city not to construct buildings on the right and left sides of the river within its area.

In the 35th municipal executive meeting of the metropolis held on Tuesday, Deputy Chief Dangol objected to the fact that Metropolitan Chief Balendra Sah made a single decision and published the notice on July 30 without the consent of the executive members. The metropolis had published a notice to implement the decree issued by the Supreme Court. There is now a difference between Prakhum and executive members in the metropolis on the same issue.

'One word has many places to play . It is written that the information has been published according to the decision of the major level," she said. In the

meeting, Chief Shah replied that he had published a notice to convey the order issued by the Supreme Court on December 3 to the public. However, the deputy chief and other executive members were dissatisfied with his work style and the said answer.

'Recently, the chief has also said that he has tried to inform the citizens of the city. It is important how it is written in the matter of informing," Deputy Chief Dangol said, "We must respect the order of the honorable court. There is no doubt about that. But how it should be respected and implemented is very important." Mandate was issued . On July 24, a major decision was taken by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City to implement the Supreme Court's order. The deputy chief has expressed dissatisfaction with the same decision.

'Before giving information from the capital, we should have discussed whether we should go to the review instead . When it comes to such sensitive issues, it is not a matter of defending them when the people come to the streets,' she said. If not, we will talk about good governance and cooperation. These matters of cooperation should be at least among the members within us.

Mayor Shah is in favor of implementing the Supreme Court in any way. On the other hand, the deputy chief and other executive members have emphasized that it should be reviewed. In this regard, the UML Kathmandu District Committee has also requested the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to review the Supreme Court's order to leave the river right and left within the Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
