Congress MP Shankar Bhandari has requested Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to dismiss Information and Communications Minister Prithvisubba Gurung. Minister Gurung has said that the Prime Minister should fire Inspector General of Police (IGP) Vasant Kunwar of Nepal Police for using abusive language in public places.

"I strongly condemn and call upon the Prime Minister to dismiss the Minister of Communications as the spokesperson of the Government of Nepal and the Minister of Information and Communication used abusive language in a public place against the head of the police organization that is responsible for maintaining the peace and security of the country," said the statement issued by Bhandari. MP Bhandari also warned that if there is any decline in peace and security in the future, the government and the Prime Minister will be responsible for it.
