The proposed ambassador for Pakistan, Rita Dhital, has said that she will work for organizing the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) conference.

In Monday's meeting of the parliamentary hearing committee, the proposed ambassador Dhital said that he will play a role in making SAARC active. During the parliamentary hearing, she said that the SAARC conference, which has been chaired by Nepal since 2016, has been postponed and she will take the initiative to resume it according to the opinion of the Nepalese government.

Dhital said that since the government's idea of making SAARC operational is clear, he will work accordingly. She said that since the concerned countries have accepted the importance of economic, social, cultural and scientific development among the regional countries of SAARC, they should emphasize on making it sustainable.

Noting that the Nepalese government has a clear view on advancing SAARC, Dhital said that she would play a role after being appointed as Pakistan's ambassador to make it active.
