Sumnima Tuladhar, proposed as resident ambassador for Denmark and non-resident ambassador for other 7 countries, said that there is a challenge to bring Nepal's trade and investment to Nepal with those countries. During the parliamentary hearing, he said that due to the geographical location, trade with Nepal is a challenge from those countries.
In the Sunday meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee of the Federal Parliament, Tuladhar said in response to the questions of the parliamentarians that Denmark and other countries have very little trade with Nepal and there is little investment in Nepal. She said, 'The parliamentarians inquired about the challenges.' They have the challenge of trade and investment in Nepal. It is difficult for them as it is done with other countries.'
The proposed ambassador Tuladhar informed that she has resigned from all the responsibilities of the organization established for children's concerns, Siwin Nepal, before being recommended for ambassadorship. The MPs questioned the current affiliation with the organization.
DP Aryal, MP of RSVP, asked about the resignation from the executive role of the organization. Similarly, he said that after becoming an ambassador, he is worried about whether he will work for the institution rather than for the country.
'It is not sure how long the tenure of Nepal's ambassadors will be . "I am worried that the ambassador's tenure will not be good for the country if he plays a role for the interests of the organization he is an executive rather than for the country," he said. In response, Tuladhar said that she has resigned from all the responsibilities of the organization.
Tuladhar said that if the government provides resources, he will promote Nepal not only in Denmark but also in the countries where he is appointed as a non-resident ambassador and play a role in promoting tourism.
Noting that she has good knowledge about the foreign policy of Nepal, the principle of Panchsheel, the proposed ambassador Tuladhar said in response to the questions asked by the parliamentarians, 'I will follow the laws and rules of the country . I have already resigned from all the positions of the organization I was involved in before the ambassador was recommended. For the past 37 years, I have been involved in student movements and the establishment of women's commission. We have worked in organizations formed according to the laws of the country. We worked in favor of those who were not in the eyes of the state .' He was questioned by MPs about his involvement in Siwin.
