Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that violent activities like the past cannot and will not be allowed to happen in Nepal.

Releasing the book 'Into the Fire' written by Captain Rameshwar Thapa on Saturday, Prime Minister Oli disagreed with the statement made by CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal that he should learn from the situation in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. He claimed that since Nepal is not a 'photocopy machine' of any country, it is not possible to do so here.

'Nepal has its own identity, civilization and culture. What happened in Bangladesh does not happen here. We are going to strengthen the democracy and constitution that we fought for. It is not possible for those who fight against democracy to harm us," said Prime Minister Oli. "I want to tell those who are loudly telling us to learn, learn properly - the politics of chaos, anarchy and violence is no longer possible in Nepal. It is not allowed to be possible.'

Recalling that he was strongly opposed to violence during the 'indiscriminate' violent activities of the Maoists and also initiated negotiations for a political solution, Prime Minister Oli said that the state will legally prevent any activity or chaos that violates the rights of others in the democratic governance system.
