Due to the agitation in Bangladesh, medical students who returned to Nepal have been requested to arrange internship in their country. The students submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, former Prime Ministers Sher Bahadur Deuba and Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Education Minister Vidya Bhattarai, Health Minister Pradeep Paude and others and demanded to be allowed to complete the remaining internship in Nepal.

About two and a half hundred students who are undergoing internship have returned to Nepal. Naveen Yadav said. It costs more to return to Bangladesh. There is also a situation where there may be a movement again,' he said, 'We have asked the government to make arrangements for internship in Nepal's medical colleges.'

Yadav said that policy arrangements can be made for students to be able to do internship in Nepal or Bangladesh according to their wishes.

It was arranged that the students who returned from China to Nepal during the covid could also do internship in Nepal. According to the Private Medical and Dental College Association, students who have returned from Bangladesh can get internship for free.

President Dr. Gyanendraman Singh Karki has released a statement and said that he is committed to providing free internships and tuition to the students who have returned from Bangladesh. Some students have returned to Bangladesh after the formation of the interim government after the student movement stopped. Some have demanded to complete their studies in Nepal.

After the demand of the students, the government has formed a study task force under the coordination of Sujanbabu Marhatta, director of the Medical Education Commission. According to the Ministry of Education, more decisions regarding internship can be made based on the recommendations of the working group.

A task force has been formed to study the completion of studies of students who have returned home due to uncomfortable conditions while studying MBBS and BDS in Bangladesh. In the working group, there are joint secretaries representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Health and Education . Representatives of Medical Council, Tribhuvan University Institute of Medical Education, Kathmandu University are also members. The task force is yet to submit its recommendation report .
