Nepal discussed air connectivity, labor related issues, investment, tourism, diplomatic exchange and all necessary forms of cooperation and coordination in the bilateral talks. In the

talks, there were officials including Minister Rana, Foreign Secretary Seva Lamsal, Secretary of Culture Tourism and Civil Aviation Ministry Ganesh Prasad Pandey, Nepali Ambassador to Oman Dornath Aryal and other officials, while the Omani team was led by the Foreign Minister of Oman.

On that occasion, Minister Rana requested Oman to operate air flights at Nepal's international airports, Bhairawa and Pokhara.

Earlier, Oman started air flights to Bhairahawa and later stopped them, but now Nepal government has decided to provide more facilities to foreign airlines. A foreign official informed that Oman's foreign minister Al Busaidi will reconsider the issue.

Similarly, Nepal raised the issue of the rights and interests of Nepali workers and more labor destinations. According to the Secretariat of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Nepalese side has raised this issue saying that Oman can be a good destination for the Nepali labor market as the labor laws and other environment are good.

The Omani side also said that since Nepali workers are diligent and honest in their work, their country will take more workers based on their needs. It was agreed that a labor agreement between the two countries would be made on this issue,'' the press note of the secretariat said.

Rana proposed that something can be done jointly for other possibilities including the arrival of Omani tourists to Nepal, as Nepal has a lot of tourism potential due to the natural beauty of Nepal, the world's 8,000 highest mountains including Everest and the heritage listed in the World Heritage List, and investment in the field of tourism in Nepal. She asked Oman to do it.

Minister Rana urged the Omani government through the foreign minister to invest in Nepal as there are many investment opportunities in Nepal including hydropower.
