Lumbini University should expand Buddha's philosophy and message: Prime Minister Oli

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the philosophy and message of Buddha should be expanded through education. In the 16th assembly meeting of Lumbini Buddhist University, Chancellor Oli said that the said university, which was opened with a new thinking to protect and expand the Buddhist philosophy, which has made a historical contribution to the world mankind, should play an important role in spreading the Buddhist philosophy.

Prime Minister Oli said that since this university is connected with the consciousness, pride and history of Nepali, the positive and friendly spirit taught by Buddha is still relevant even now.

'Being a follower of Buddhist philosophy and a monk is not just about wearing clothes. For this, knowledge and heart are needed,' Prime Minister Oli said, 'We have started the education of Buddhist philosophy . We provide quality education that will last a lifetime. With strong determination and continuous effort, we can achieve development and reach success.'

Education, Science and Technology Minister Vidya Bhattarai also participated in the meeting and passed the grace list of 285 students for the third convocation to be held in November as well as the policy, program and budget for this financial year.
