12 technicians of India's National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), who arrived last Saturday at the request of the Nepalese government, have been searching since Sunday. The Indian team consists of four trained divers. They also brought a sonar camera, a technology that indicates the size and shape of objects in the water. Nepalese security personnel were also searching with sonar and divers. The search was expected to be successful as the Indians were experienced and the sonar was more sophisticated than that used in Nepal. On Friday, June 28, around 3:30 in the morning, Ganpati Transport bus No. 03-001 B 2495 coming from Kathmandu to Gaur and Angel Bus No. 03-006 B 1516 of Wagmati Province going to Kathmandu from Birganj fell down at Sinduregaira, Simaltal, about 23 km northeast of Narayangadh. They disappeared after falling in the Trishuli landslide with Ledo. According to the Chitwan district administration, there were 65 passengers in both buses.

After the bus reached Trishuli, 3 passengers of the Angel bus saved their lives by swimming. The remaining 62 people and two buses went missing in Trishuli. The search team found 25 dead bodies from the Narayani river bank and Triveni Dam area, about 130 km below the spot. Out of them, only 19 corpses have been confirmed to be the passengers of the bus that fell in the landslide. Among the 19 bodies identified by the family, three are women and 16 are men.

9 Indian citizens, 7 in one bus and 2 in the other, also disappeared in the river along with the bus. Among them, the bodies of 5 people have been found and the family has identified them. The condition of 43 passengers is unknown except for 3 people who were found safe and 19 people who were identified after the bodies were found.
