A plane has crashed near Tribhuvan Airport. After the accident, the rescue is going on now. According to preliminary information, firefighters have now recovered the bodies of at least 18 people. According to a police officer involved in the rescue operation, this number may increase further. The driver of the plane MR Shakya has been rescued. He is being treated at KMC Hospital Sinamangal.
On Wednesday around 11 o'clock, the plane of Sourya Airlines had an accident from the runway while taking off from Pokhara.
According to Premnath Thakur, spokesperson of the airport, Sourya's plane had an accident while flying from Tribhuvan Airport to Pokhara. He said that there were 19 people including crew members in the plane. Security personnel and airport firefighters are there to put out the fire.
According to airport officials, the plane did not damage other planes. There was no damage to the houses near the airport.
