The MPs have demanded an inquiry into the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Indira Ranamar. Speaking at the meeting of the State Order and Good Governance Committee under the House of Representatives on Wednesday, the MPs demanded an investigation on the allegations of human trafficking through financial transactions against Deputy Speaker Ranamar.

The parliamentarians said that after serious allegations were made against the Deputy Speaker, the dignity of the House of Representatives itself will be questioned and an investigation should be conducted immediately to find out the truth. Speaking at the

meeting, Nepali Congress MP Ishwaridevi Neupane said that it was a shameful matter to accuse the Deputy Speaker of human trafficking. She held the view that MPs bowed their heads due to the questioning of the Deputy Speaker . He said that if he is investigated and found innocent, he should be acquitted and if he is found guilty, he should be brought to court.

She said, 'This is a very shameful subject . In fact, we parliamentarians have to bow their heads. It is not known whether a person sitting in a respected position in the country did it or not . But should it be investigated or not? Even if he has not done it, he should be freed from that fault . Don't let the foreign countries who look at us say that Nepal's Deputy Speaker has been leading the business of human trafficking in this way. Even if it is not in it, let it be investigated and be freed from blame . While I was saying that the Deputy Speaker of my country was charged with this charge, but I can say that it is not. If yes, he should stand in court . As Deputy Speaker, he should not be exempted from it.

CPN-UML MP Raghuji Pant said that there has been a complaint in the State Order and Good Governance Committee regarding Deputy Speaker Rana and said that the committee should take this matter seriously and take action. He held the view that the matter should be taken forward by looking at the legal and political aspects as well. He emphasized that the committee should work on this case against the Deputy Speaker so as not to raise questions about the work of the

committee. We have also received a request regarding the Deputy Speaker. What to do with it? What can be done by seriously looking at all its legal and political aspects? Again, the question about what we have done should not arise from anywhere . He is the deputy speaker, so don't even ask why it was done this way. Legally and legally, if we do something, if we take any action, it should be based on it,' he said.
