Ranendra Barali, Member of Parliament of the Maoist Center has said that not giving responsibility to Dalit leaders in the Cabinet led by KP Sharma Oli is a product of feudalistic thinking.

In the meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday, MP Barali objected that those who said that Dalits were not given responsibility due to lack of capacity in the past are now not given responsibility even if they have capacity.

'I have been saying- Dalit's rights are a mirror and not a mask. This statement is confirmed when the proportional system is implemented in every body today,' he said. In the past, it was said that Dalits are neither able to reach the central position of the party, nor are they skilled, qualified, experts. They used to say but now there is no place to say that. If there is anything in it, there is a feudalistic residue that has been built up in the leaders without being aware of it.'

Rupa Sosi Chowdhury, a whip of the Maoist Center, also questioned the Oli-led government as not being inclusive. Chowdhury said that while 64 percent of ministers are from Bahun and Chhetri, there are zero ministers from Dalit and other communities. He said that the Parliament should find an answer to the issue of inclusion of the government .

Not only the opposition but also the ruling party MPs have objected saying that the Oli-led cabinet is not inclusive. Congress MP Muktakumari Yadav also raised a question saying that the Council of Ministers was not inclusive.

Oli-led cabinet is being publicly criticized for having zero participation of Dalits and Muslims. Similarly, the question of low participation by making only two women ministers has been raised.
