An Indian team of 12 people, including four divers, has arrived in Chitwan on Saturday to search for two buses and passengers who went missing after falling into the Trishuli river due to a landslide on Friday.

They came with three sonar cameras to search in the water and they will start searching from the accident site Simaltal from Sunday morning. Chief District Officer of Chitwan Indradev Yadav said that a team of India's National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has come to search. Prajia Yadav said that the sonar camera brought by the team can indicate objects up to 30 meters deep.

Narayangadh-Muglin Road, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29, Simaltal Sinduregaira, two buses and passengers are missing since last June 28 after being swept away by a landslide. Since the day of the incident, the diving team of the army and the armed police have been working continuously with technology. The bus was not found even when the Nepalese team searched using sonar which has the ability to indicate objects up to 300 meters away. A security official said that some results are expected as the Indian team is experienced.

The Indian team that came through Bhairahwa on Saturday afternoon initially discussed with the security agency officer in the Chitwan district administration. After the discussion, the team crossed Simaltal, which is 23 km from Narayangadh, and headed towards Kurintar. There is an armed police disaster management training school in Kurintar. SP Janak Puri of the Armed Forces, who is the co-inspector of the academy, said that the Indian team staying in the same school planned to start the search only from Sunday morning.

According to Prajia Yadav, the Indian team will search for at least seven days at all possible locations from the crime scene. There were 65 passengers in the two buses that were lost in the landslide. Out of which three passengers of one bus saved their lives by swimming.

Out of 62 people missing with the bus, the security team has found 25 bodies including 21 men and 4 women till Saturday evening. Only 18 bodies have been identified. After the dead bodies were found on the banks of the Narayani River, which is 130 km below the scene, and also in the Indian territories, the Chitwan administration has also coordinated with the authorities of the Maharangaj and West Champaran districts of Bihar in the search for the dead bodies. The bodies of 5 of the 9 Indians in the two missing buses have been found.
