The Nepali Embassy in UAE has recommended the Department of Foreign Employment to take action against the manpower companies that send them to foreign employment. Action has been recommended against Mechi International Overseas Pvt Ltd based in Kathmandu, which has been delayed by sending it to UAE.

After the information that 19 young people were stranded in the UAE became public, the related manpower promised to solve the problem . Avid Ansari, Labor Attaché of the Embassy in UAE, has written to the department to take action against Manpower. "As the Nepali workers are like this and no initiative is taken to solve the problem, the manpower and the company are requested to take necessary action as per the order," the letter states.

Among the 19 stranded, there are two young people from Khotang. Relatives had submitted an application to the district administration office demanding their rescue. Parshuram Rai and Rajkumar Rai of Jantedhunga Village-5 Chisapani have applied to the District Administration Office for rescue.

They reached the UAE on January 27th through Mechi International Overseas Pvt Ltd in Kathmandu. There was a request for their rescue, saying that they did not get work and salary service facilities as per the labor contract and they had to stay hungry for a week. Relatives said that they reached the UAE by paying 100,000 rupees to the main power company. Among them, Parashuram reached the UAE on February 11th and Rajkumar reached the UAE on January 27th.

They were taken to Unique Star General Security Guard Service and Noor Al Afsa General Clinic Service Company on different dates saying that Manpower Company would employ them as cleaners. But according to the contract, the relatives demanded rescue from the administration saying that the company was doing different jobs in the timber supply, not giving regular work, and not even giving the money for the work. Based on that, the Foreign Employment Department sent a letter to the concerned manpower to appear within seven days with a written answer.

When they did not get work and wages according to the labor agreement, Bhavis Jimmy from Surkhet along with two people from Khotang, Devasin Sunari from Palpa Tinau, Kishore Khatri and Man Bahadur Karki from Udaipur, Himal Sartunge from Gulmi Musikot, Jitendra Shahi from Calikot, Sunil Shrestha from Nawalparasi, Karan Sardar from Morang and Padam Nepal, Lakshmi Prasad Dulal of Tehrathum, Man Bahadur Shahi of Dailekh, Misrilal Das of Jhapa, Tilak Bahadur Sunar of Dhading, Khadka Bahadur Shrestha of Sindhupalchok, Ash Bahadur Gurung of Gorkha, Lakpa Tamang of Nuwakot and Manoj Tharu of Kapilvastu are stranded.
