Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has instructed the National Planning Commission to present a new program to increase production and promote employment.

In a discussion with the newly appointed members of the National Planning Commission at the Prime Minister's Office on Tuesday, the Prime Minister emphasized that a plan should be prepared to solve the existing problems.

Mentioning that low production and employment are the main problems of the country, the Prime Minister said that problems appear in every sector of the economy, and when trying to solve the problem in one sector, it is necessary to address the problem in another sector.

'I believe that the commission will make its role as a think tank of the government more effective,' said the Prime Minister, 'Plans in the coming days will be effective and based on facts.' He directed to focus on fact-based policy making by strengthening the data system.

'I believe that the new team formed now will advance the work of the National Planning Commission in a more effective manner,' said the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Dahal instructed the commission to proceed with the process of finalizing the plan, which has reached the final stage of implementation of the sixteenth plan, and to include the strategies and programs proposed in the plan during the next year's budget preparation .

Emphasizing that the Sixteenth Plan should promote new types of productive programs in the direction of increasing production and employment in the country, the Prime Minister said, 'We should select infrastructure projects and implement them only based on the extent to which the infrastructure we will build now will help to increase production and employment. '

With the change of power coalition, four members were added to the National Planning Commission. The cabinet meeting on March 8, in the Planning Commission, Professor Sangita Singh, Dr. Kushendra Bahadur Mahat, Professor Shivraj Adhikari and Dr. Aranik Kumar Pandey was appointed.
