6 drivers arrested for driving under the influence of drugs

The police said that the investigation has started against them for the crime of consuming illegal drugs. Since 2068, the police has been conducting a special campaign against drug abuse across the country, and since 2 years ago, a campaign was also started against drug-taking drivers in the valley.

For this, the traffic police has been taking help from the police hospital and drug control bureau to find out whether the driver has consumed drugs using a separate kit. During the urine test of the transport drivers arrested on Friday, it was revealed that they had taken drugs. The police said that they are investigating what kind of drugs they consumed.

It was found from the previous tests that the drivers were consuming marijuana and hashish and some even heroin. The technical team of Nepal Police Hospital put their urine in a drug kit and found that they had consumed drugs. According to SP Khadka, 6 people were found to have consumed drugs during the urine test of 25 Sabari vehicle drivers on Friday.
