The drama 'Mukkumalung' (Power of Faith) based on Chitra Mabo's collection of stories 'Dolivarna' will be staged at Shilpi Theater in Battisputli, Kathmandu. Pragya Rajan Mukarung has adapted the drama into a play directed by Pavitra Rai.

In 'Mukkumalung' which will be staged from October 2, Rayer Rai, Deepa Suhang, Nusa Lingden, Pramila Rai, Praysh Bantwa Rai, Sayok Mukarung, Diwas Payangu, Udaya Begha Limbu, Smriti Kulmar, Ujjwal Bantwa Rai, Lahna Rai, Suzu Sunuwar, Ramila Moktan, Akash Nepali, Indira Nemwang, Govind Limbu, Hiran Rai and other artists will be performing. The

drama will have music design by Sanjit Thulung, set design by Mani Kirati and light design by Sanjeev Yogi.

"Mukkumalung" is one of the 15 stories included in "Dolivarna" about the life of the eastern hilly region, the Mundhumi culture of the Limbu society there and other current topics.

Mukkumlung is considered by the indigenous Limbu caste as the center of their faith and worldly place. The area which is now famous as Pathibhara. Recently, when a private sector company tried to start a cable car project there, the Limbu community has been strongly opposing it.
