Sangeeta Pahadi Aryal has been appointed as the Managing Director of Nepal Telecom Company Limited (Nepal Telecom). The cabinet meeting held on Thursday decided to hand over the leadership of Telecom to Pahari. A minister informed that the decision to appoint Pahari as Managing Director of Telecom was made at the Cabinet meeting on the proposal of Information and Communication Technology Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung.
She has been living as an assistant since last December 17 . He said on 23 March 2049 She entered the service as an engineer in the then Nepal Telecommunication Institute from the seventh level. She was appointed Deputy Managing Director on January 18, 2078.

After the then MD of Telecom, Sunil Paudel, was found guilty in a corruption case, Nepal Telecom became leaderless. Pahadi was given the responsibility of managing director on behalf of the company by the ministerial decision of October 16. The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has invited applications for the post of MD on May 22 and 17 people have applied for it.
Telecom's Acting Managing Director Pahadi along with Bimal Acharya, Rajesh Joshi, Ananta Prakash Mallik, Prem Prasad Silwal, Krishna Prasad Bhandari, Laxman Maharjan, Subas Sah, Shalikram Subedi, Kamal Lamichhane, Kedarnath Koirala, Shaligram Parajuli and Buddhiprasad Acharya of Telecom applied. Chintamani Baral, Anil Kumar Jha, Nagendra Kumar Das and Ramesh Prasad Joshi from outside Telecom were also interested in taking over the leadership of Telecom.
The selection committee formed under the coordination of then Communications Secretary Ramakrishna Subedi called 16 candidates for action plan presentation and interview on June 20, 21 and 22. The committee prepared a shortlist with the names of three people.
Anil Kumar Jha, Managing Director of Janak Education Content Center, Bimal Acharya was recommended along with Pahadi on behalf of Telecom. Out of those three, the Council of Ministers led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has appointed Pahadi.
According to Nepal Telecommunication Company Limited's Managing Director's Appointment and Service Facilitation Guidelines, 2081, the MD's service period is four years . Salary 250,000 rupees per month, house rent 60,000 per month, if you have a house in Kathmandu valley, house maintenance expenses equal to 1 month monthly salary in 2 years, festival expenses equal to one month salary per year, travel expenses, hospitality expenses are available .
