Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Prasad Pandey has said that he will actively promote the development of the tourism sector by broadening the partnership of the private sector.
At the 46th Annual General Meeting of the Trekking Agencies Association of Pal (TAN) held in Kathmandu on Monday, Minister Pandey said that the role of the private sector is indispensable for the development and promotion of culture, tourism and civil aviation.
'The Ministry is ready to develop the tourism sector by collaborating with the private sector. The role of the private sector is important for the development of the tourism sector', he said, 'Civil aviation sector should also be effective in the development of the tourism sector.'
Minister Pandey mentioned that foreign tourists can be brought in only when the civil aviation sector can be trusted and pointed out the need for stakeholders to pay attention to the enhancement of air safety. He informed that the tourism development policy, culture policy and aviation policy are being revised in the development of Nepal's tourism.
He said that the bill brought to separate the regulatory and service provider agencies to make the airspace safe has been sent to the Ministry of Finance and Law. On a separate occasion, Minister Pandey expressed his belief that the current government will remain in place until 2084.
