In August 2024, the arrival of foreign tourists has increased by 8.3 percent. According to the data provided by the Nepal Tourist Board, compared to August 2023, 5,566 more tourists have entered Nepal during the same period of this year.
A total of 67 thousand 153 tourists came in August 2023, and 72 thousand 719 tourists entered Nepal in August 2024. In August, 25 thousand 832 tourists came to Nepal from India, 6 thousand 614 from China, 5 thousand 614 from America, 4 thousand 851 from Sri Lanka and 3 thousand 77 from Bangladesh. According to the
board, 41,304 foreign tourists came to Nepal in August 2022, 6,93 in August 2021 and 94,749 in August 2019.
