Chairman of Nepal Insurance Authority Surya Prasad Silwal has said that they are talking with the government about the payment of remaining claims of Corona insurance. The insurance companies have not paid the claims of corona insurance because the government has not given them money.
Even now, more than 100,000 insured companies have yet to pay 10.5 billion rupees. At a time when citizens' dissatisfaction with the insurance companies is increasing due to non-payment of corona insurance for a long time, the chairman of the authority Silwal has informed that the government is taking initiatives to pay the remaining amount.
Addressing the discussion and interaction program on insurance held in Butwal on Friday, Chairman Silwal said that the rest of the claims will be paid as soon as the money comes from the government.
'Since the insurance company re-insures the insurance, the insurance companies are able to pay all the claims, the authority is also closely regulating,' he said, 'it is essential for the insured to read the insurance policy well.' President Silwal said that insurance will be promoted. "The authority has made policy guidelines by including the sentiments of all concerned, the authority is always ready to solve the problems of the industrialists," he added.
Hari Prasad Aryal, president of Butwal Industry and Commerce Association, said that it would be easy to get insurance, but it would be difficult to get claim payment, so it should be simplified and there should be a system where you can insure only the risks you choose. Responding to the questions raised in the
program, Sushiledev Subedi, director of Nepal Insurance Authority, said that the insurance claims have been made simpler, and insurance surveyors have been assigned numbers to get reports to the insurance companies. He adds, 'Insurance has been revised to make it cool over time.'
director Subedi informed that insurance including Huldanga is going to be made voluntary and police bonds and police reports are going to be digitized. The participants in the
program were of the view that the insurance claim process should be simplified, Huldanga insurance should be made clean without making it mandatory, the liability amount should be increased in third party insurance, the reduction limit should be reduced in motor insurance, and the problems seen in police bond and police report should be resolved.
