The number of people coming to see and understand about new vehicles, motorcycles and their spare parts is increasing at the ongoing NADA Auto Show at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu. Since it is possible to directly see the vehicles of different companies in one place and make your choice, from the young to the old generation, they have come to Auto So.
It is said that on the first day of the 16th edition of 'Nada Auto Show 2024' organized by NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal, 10,000 spectators came on Tuesday. On the second day on Wednesday, more than 15,000 people visited the exhibition, according to NADA.
Auto companies are competing to offer discounts on everything from vehicles to helmets, tires and lubricants. Auto is becoming a good destination for companies to launch new products.
Auto Soma has 130 stalls for four-wheelers, two-wheelers, semi-commercial and commercial vehicles and auto components including tires, lubricants, batteries, helmets, spare parts. It has 23 four-wheeler brands, 19 two-wheeler brands and 12 light commercial vehicle brands. There are 33 stalls of companies including lubricants, tires, and batteries.
Anup Kumar Baral, Coordinator of NADA Auto Show, said that 80 percent of the total stalls are electric vehicles. An electric pickup van is also on display. At Auto Soma, you can buy the vehicle you like by booking at a discount offer. Banks and financial institutions have introduced new schemes at low interest rates for vehicle loans. 11 banks and financial institutions are offering loans by keeping Auto Soma stalls. Banks have announced various schemes including no change in interest rate for vehicle loans for seven years.
Two and four wheeler vehicles are being booked with a cash discount offer at the Auto Soma organized on the eve of the festival. Most of the companies will provide discount offers on auto sale till Dasain, Tihar and Chhath. Businessmen consider Auto So as the Kumbh Mela of the auto market. Karan Chaudhary, president of NADA, said that Auto So is a big festival for auto businessmen. The largest crowd in the fair is at the stalls of electric vehicles.
"Auto show businessmen are excited," said the coordinator Baral, "The companies in each stall have brought some new products, so there is a lot of activity in the auto show." He said that the attendance of the audience is better than expected. Businessmen are excited about launching a new product.
The general secretary of NADA, Surendra Kumar Upreti, said that the auto show will be open for public from 11 am to 6:30 pm. According to NADA, there is an investment of more than 1 trillion rupees in the automobile sector. There are more than 1 lakh direct and 1.5 lakh indirect jobs.
