Two separate memorandums of understanding regarding financial assistance have been signed between the Ministry of Finance and the UK government. The Ministry of Finance on Wednesday agreed on the 'Resilience, Adaptation and Inclusion (REN) Program in Nepal' and the 'Capacity' program to enhance gender and human development outcomes through system strengthening.

According to the Ministry of Finance, it has been agreed to provide 38.5 Sterling pounds for resilience, adaptation and inclusion programs in Nepal and 38.8 Sterling pounds for strength programs from the British government.

Dhaniram Sharma, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance on behalf of the Government of Nepal and Pippa Bird, Director of Development and Deputy Ambassador of the British Embassy in Kathmandu on behalf of the Government of the UK, signed the agreement. In addition to enhancing the capacity of local governments and communities in the areas most affected by climate change, Karnali, Lumbini and Madhesh.
