Bangladesh President Mohammad Shahabuddin has ordered the release of opposition leader Khaleda Zia. After Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and left the country, President Shahabuddin ordered the release of Zia. After Prime Minister Hasina resigned, Chief of Army Staff Waqar Uj Zaman said that an interim government would be formed.
