Madhes Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh has said that the errors in the constitution can be corrected through amendments.
Speaking at a program formally organized by the Ministry of Home Communications and Law of Madhes on the occasion of the Constitution Day for the first time after 8 years of the establishment of the state government, Chief Minister Singh said that since the constitution is not an immutable document, errors can be corrected through amendments.
He said that now it is necessary to strengthen the provincial government. He said that rather than opposing the constitution, it is the duty of every Nepalese to focus on protecting and institutionalizing the achievements of the constitution.
Chief Minister Singh said, 'If the state government is prosperous, the trust towards federalism will gradually increase, everyone should focus on making a constitution by amending the errors in the constitution. Now there is a need to amend the constitution to make it complete, the party which did not want to hear the amendment until now, all the three parties are ready for the amendment, we should be able to take advantage of it.'
Ministers of all the parties in the state government except LOSPA participated in the program organized by the state government on the occasion of Constitution Day. LOSPA is celebrating Black Day today in opposition to Constitution Day.
