One person was arrested with illegal silver jewelery from Siraha. Police arrested one person from Lahan Municipality-7 on Sunday evening.
The arrested person is 30-year-old Dipendra Bik of Urlabari Municipality-5 in Morang. The police have recovered nearly 1.5 million silver jewelery from him.
When the police team of the local police office, Lahan checked on the basis of a special information, they recovered about 8 kg of silver jewelery worth 1 million 40 thousand from the black bag he was carrying, the police said.
Chief Superintendent of Police of District Police Office Siraha Ramesh Pandit informed that the matter is being investigated and preparations are being made to send the arrested person and jewelery to Revenue Investigation Office Itahari for further investigation.
