The police have arrested four people for stealing motorcycles and bicycles from Ishanath and Rajpur municipalities. One of the arrested is an Indian. Police released them on Wednesday.
22-year-old Kameshwar Mahato, resident of Viagram Panchayat 10, Bihar, Motihari, India, has been arrested on the charge of stealing a motorcycle, District Police Office Gour said.
Mahato was arrested while stealing a BR 05 BD 9654 motorcycle from the house of Sanjay Sah of Ishanath municipality-2 at 3 am on Wednesday morning and taking it to India. The police have started investigating Mahato for theft-related crimes.
Similarly, Police Inspector Umashankar Gupta of the District Police Office informed that local Bigan Sahni, Subhash Sah and Pramod Sahni were arrested for stealing bicycles from Rajpur municipality.
They stole two bicycles from the compound of Shekhmor Salim's house in Rajpur Municipality-9 Bairia. Police inspector Gupta said that the three were arrested while stealing a bicycle together.
