An old man died on Wednesday when a branch of a tree broke in Barbote, Dhankuta Municipality-9. According to the police, 72-year-old local Kamal Bhandari was among the deceased.
Bhandari died on the spot when a branch of a tree suddenly broke while connecting the water pipe and hit him on the head, District Police Spokesperson DSP Rajbabu Maharjan informed.
Even though the incident took place at 3:30 pm, the police say that the information was received only in the evening.
