Koshi Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki will take the vote of confidence on October 2. Karki, who became the Chief Minister with the support of the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) Center, is going to take the vote of confidence for the second time after the Maoist Center withdrew its support.
With the change in the power coalition, the Maoist Center, which left the government on July 11, withdrew its support on August 14.
A government with the Congress formed under the leadership of the Nepal Communist Party (UML) has been formed in Koshi province. According to Article 168 (5) of the Constitution, Karki, who was appointed as the Chief Minister, is going to take the vote of confidence for the second time.
There are 93 members in the Koshi state assembly. In which there are 40 members of UML and 29 members of Congress. Similarly, there are 13 MPs from Maoist Center, 6 from RPP, four from CPN (Unified Socialist) and one from Jaspa. Karki, who was appointed as the Chief Minister on 27th Baisakh for the first time in Baisakh On the 31st, he took the vote of confidence . There is a schedule to hold the Provincial Assembly meeting on October 2nd at 1 pm.
