Formal approval of B&C to teach MBBS

Pramish Giri, the public relations officer of the college, said that for the first time, the commission has decided to teach 50 students in this academic year. He informed that the commission had already issued a public notice about the seat determination on Friday.

Virtamod municipality ward no. 5 B&C Medical College Teaching and Research Pvt. Ltd. was started with a hospital of 300 beds from February 18, 2071 with the aim of providing teaching at undergraduate level of medicine in Virtamode.

from the Government of Nepal Public Relations Officer Giri said that even after receiving the letter of intent in 2064 and establishing all the infrastructure for teaching MBBS students, they had to wait for a long time to get approval for teaching.

The Supreme Court had issued an order to grant affiliation to B&C Medical College on 13th Chaitra 2080. On the basis of the same mandate, Kathmandu University has provided the fellowship.

Prada Umesh Sharma, Principal of B&C Medical College Teaching and Research Pvt. Ltd. stated that the entire infrastructure is ready and now admission and teaching of MBBS students will start soon.

Prada Sharma informed that a facility-equipped hospital has been established in Virtamode and a science basic building with infrastructure for teaching has been established in Mechinagar-11 Dhaijan. He also said that the college has completed all the preparations for the lectures.

'This is an important achievement and a matter of happiness for Mechi residents,' he said. About two thousand people have got direct employment in B&C Medical College and Eastern Cancer Hospital.
