Two people, including a child, died in two head-on accidents in Jhapa. On the 18th of August, an injured person died today in a road accident on the east-west highway located in Arjundhara Municipality-11 Giribandhu T-State of Jhapa.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Krishan Kumar Chand informed that the deceased is 24-year-old Diwangkar Rai of Suryodaya Municipality-5 of Ilam.
Motorcycle No. May 10P 3544 going to Kakdvitta from Mukti Chowk in Birtamod and Truck No. 5K 9122 coming from Dhulabari to Mukti Chowk collided with each other, the motorcycle driver Rai and the rear rider Suvod Basnet, 28 years old from Morang Sundarharaincha Municipality-10, were injured .

The injured child was taken to Birtacity Hospital Birtamod for treatment but was sent to Birtacity Hospital Birtamod for further treatment. As soon as he was taken to the hospital, the doctor declared the child dead, according to District Police Office Jhapa.
24-year-old Vasant Mukhia of Jhapa Rural Municipality-2, the motorcyclist who hit the child, has been detained by the police.
