May everyone be inspired to follow the constitution honestly: Speaker Ghimire

Speaking on the occasion of Constitution Day and National Day 2081 today, Speaker Ghimire expressed his best wishes to all Nepalis living in the country and abroad in commemoration of the historic day when the constitution was promulgated by the Constituent Assembly with a federal democratic republican governance system.

'Constitution of Nepal has given rights to all citizens, our constitution is the real source of rights, there is no need to go far to find rights when the respective bodies have performed their duties for the implementation of the constitution,' the greeting message said,' therefore the constitution of Nepal is the national law of all Nepalis. It is a common document that represents feelings.'

Speaker Ghimire has mentioned that although he has completed some of the remaining tasks according to the constitution, some laws are still in the process of being drafted and the federal parliament has already enacted various laws for the implementation of more than one-third of the articles of the constitution. In a

message, Speaker Ghimire said, "On the day of Constitution Day, I appeal to all political forces to stand on a common ground and find an agreement on the rest of the legislation." With the entry of 10 years since the promulgation of the constitution, there have been exercises related to the implementation of the constitution. All three levels of elections have been completed according to the new constitution. The challenging situation of implementation of the Constitution of Nepal, which established a governance system based on democratic values ​​and federalism, has also been overcome.
