The election schedule for the local by-elections to be held on November 16 has been approved. After the government fixed the date of the election, the Election Commission approved the schedule of the by-election and made it public.
The Commission has fixed the period of party registration for by-election purposes from October 10 to 16.
The Commission has prepared an action plan to prepare election guidelines, procedures, standards and codes of conduct, conduct election materials, manpower management, voter education, training and capacity development.
According to Narayan Prasad Sapkota, spokesperson of the commission, the commission has approved the schedule of publishing the final list of voters on November 26 and determining the polling station, establishing the election officer's office on November 30, conducting the election program from November 2 and organizing voting on November 16. .
Elections are going to be held for the 41 vacant positions after the people's representatives who were elected in the 2079 election were relieved of their positions.
