The members of the National Assembly have drawn the attention of the government to bring a separate law related to projects of national pride. At the meeting of the National Assembly, Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns Committee on Wednesday, the parliamentarians drew attention to this and expressed their belief that a separate law will help to complete Gaurav's projects on time.
In Wednesday's meeting, Mahakali Irrigation, Rani Jamra Kularia Irrigation, Bheri Babai Diversion and Sikta Irrigation, among other projects of national pride, were recently seen. The problem was discussed above.
Committee member Krishna Bahadur Rokaye announced the government's projects of national pride in the meeting. He said that there was a problem due to not managing the necessary resources for this. He said, 'Every government hastily announces projects of national pride, but when the necessary budget is not arranged, those projects are stalled. To solve this, a law on projects of national pride is necessary.'
Committee members Indira Joshi Gautam, Jagprasad Sharma, Bishnu Kumari Sapkota, Kiran Babu Shrestha, Shekhar Kumar Singh and Gopi Bahadur Sarki Achami said that the cost has increased due to the delay in completing the project of national pride. In the
meeting, the Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Sarita Dawadi informed that 41.58 percent of the physical work and 40.62 percent of the financial work of the Sikta irrigation project had been completed by the financial year 2080/81.
He said, 'In all Gaurav projects, the budget allocated annually according to the approved master plan is very low. Such projects The progress of the project has been affected due to the rapid transfer of the head and other employees.'
