The government has given a holiday to Nepalese Muslims on the day of Mohammad Jayanti (Mohammed Day). The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification on Sunday and said that today is a public holiday as it has received information from the Muslim Commission that Muhammad Jayanti is today.
"On 31st August 2081, this notice has been published for the information of all those concerned about the decision to give a public holiday only to Nepali Muslims," said the notice issued by the ministry.
