Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that there is no situation to increase the salary of the employees immediately.

Addressing a program organized on the occasion of the 21st Civil Service Day in Kathmandu on Saturday, Prime Minister Oli said that he is aware of the problems of the employees and said that the current economy is not in a position to increase the salary of the employees.

He mentioned that when the economy was strong, he increased the salary by 25 percent at one time and said that now it is not possible to increase even 25 paise. He said that if the country and the economy can be moved forward by facing the difficulties now, the wages and benefits will also increase.

The Prime Minister said earlier, 'There have been staff problems. I am the kind of person who would give a 25 percent salary increase if I got some money. First, I increased it all at once. Now there is such a situation that it is not possible to increase even 25 paise if not 25 percent. It is not possible for the economy of the country. It will be possible only with my heart. Now if we make up our minds and face difficulties, if we move the country and the economy forward, our wages and benefits will also increase.'
