Officials including David Sislen, National Director of the World Bank for Nepal, had a meeting with the Minister of Home Affairs, Ramesh Ulakar, on Friday.

In the meeting held in the home minister's office, the World Bank's investment in various projects in Nepal was discussed. The Home Minister said that World Bank loans and technical support helped in the reconstruction after the 2072 earthquake.

Sislen was interested in the fact that among the various tasks that had to be completed when the World Bank gave a loan to Nepal, there was still some preliminary work to be done. "There is still some preliminary work to be done before taking the final installment of the loan. After passing the disaster sensitive social security and subsidy distribution criteria, the final installment of the loan is given.

We are ready to provide the financial support Nepal needs in the field of disaster management,' he said. The Home Minister said that there will be no delay in the work to be done on his part and thanked the World Bank for its support.

'Climate change is not created by us. How can we carry out disaster management with only debt for the damage, loss and reconstruction? Therefore, we had to increase the grant projects,' he said.
