Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is going to America to participate in the United Nations General Assembly. The cabinet meeting held on Thursday evening approved Prime Minister Oli's 11-day visit to New York.

Information and Communication Minister Prithvisubba Gurung informed that the Nepali team led by Prime Minister Oli to participate in the United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York has been approved. Oli will leave for that place on October 5th and is scheduled to return home on October 15th. The United Nations General Assembly will be held in New York from September 10 to 28 (August 25 to October 12). Similarly, the Summit of the Future is scheduled to be held on 22-23 September (6-7 October). Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to address the United Nations General Assembly and the Summit of the Future on behalf of Nepal.

Prime Minister's visiting team includes Foreign Minister Arju Deuba Rana, Prime Minister's wife Radhika Shakya, Prime Minister's Chief Advisor Bishnu Rimal, Foreign Secretary Seva Lamsal, UN and International Organizations Division Chief Amrit Kumar Rai, private doctors and others.

Oli also addressed the United Nations General Assembly in October 2075 as the Prime Minister. This is also the first foreign visit of Oli who was the Prime Minister last time on June 30.
