Instructions to conduct outpatient services of the hospital even on public holidays

The joint secretary of the office, Hiramani Sharma, wrote a letter to the ministry a few days ago and instructed the hospital to provide all types of services, including outpatient services, on public holidays.

He has mentioned in the letter that instructions have been issued in accordance with the provision in sub-chapter 10.1 of section (n) of the special provisions on public service delivery in the notice published in the gazette regarding public holidays issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs. In the

notice, it is mentioned that all types of health-related services (including outpatient services) provided by hospitals should be conducted on public holidays.It is said that since there have been public complaints that health related services have not been provided by most of the agencies, they have been asked to provide services even on public days.

The Cabinet Office has also requested the Ministry of Home Affairs to coordinate and monitor the necessary arrangements for service delivery. In the special arrangement, it has been mentioned that services related to citizenship, including hospitals, national identity cards, passports, foreign employment services and other services should be conducted on public days like any other day.

We will operate the service: ministry

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Prakash Budhathoki, said that the instructions from the Council of Ministers Office to operate the hospital's external services on public days will be implemented.

'We are preparing to send correspondence to all the hospitals after the decision from the ministry,' he said, 'We are also discussing how to manage the employees who work on public holidays.'
