Former Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has emphasized that the 10th National Games should be held at the appointed time.
Today, after inspecting the Karnali Pradesh Stadium in Surkhet, he said, 'The 10th National Games should be held in Surkhet at the appointed time.
He expressed his belief that the stadium, which is in the final stage of construction, will become the center of the sports sector in West Nepal and will contribute significantly to the moral development of the players. Stating that the stadium has been built according to modern and international standards, President Dahal said that it should be utilized to the maximum. He said that various national competitions can be organized in the stadium.
Former Chief Minister of Karnali Province Government Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, former Sports Minister Vimala KC, Member Secretary of Karnali Sports Council Bishwamitra Sanjyal and other officials were present during the monitoring. On a different occasion, President Dahal congratulated the sports officials including Palesha Govardhan, the historic bronze medalist in the Paris Para-Olympics. After inspecting the stadium, he said that this historic victory is a matter of pride for Nepal.
