Akhil (Revolutionary), a brother organization of the Maoist Center, has demanded the release of those who were arrested for shouting slogans against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba while participating in the Gaura festival.
Pancha Singh, the president of Krantikari, issued a statement on Friday, highlighting that it is the constitutional right of the citizens to have a peaceful dharna, procession, and protest, and said that the government has shown a despotic character by detaining youths for protesting.
All (revolutionary) strongly demands that the false case filed because of the protest of the youth be dismissed immediately and the unconditional release of the detained youth within 24 hours. We want to do it.'
On Monday, the police arrested Buddharam Jaisi, Ram Bahadur Budha and Deepak Singh. They have been kept in police custody for disturbing public peace.
