The government has filed an application in the Supreme Court to review the mandate given to adjust the salaries of three categories of civil service officers.
According to Suryaraj Dahal, the spokesperson of the Attorney General's Office, he informed that a petition has been registered on behalf of the government.
If the application is granted by the Supreme Court, the debate will start again after the defendant is withdrawn. If Nissa is not received, it will not proceed .
The Supreme Court, while hearing a writ petition saying that the salaries of joint secretaries, deputy secretaries and branch officers of the civil service are lower than those of military and police officers, who are equal in rank, asked them to make them equal. Army, police, civil and public institutions have different structures and corresponding ranks and salaries. Although the nature of service is different, the Supreme Court has ordered that the basic (starting) salary should be based on dignity.
