It has been revealed that there were 43 passengers including the driver in the bus carrying Indian tourists in Ainpahara, Ambukhaireni Rural Municipality-2, Tanahun. 39 of them have been rescued at the accident site and four are still missing.

According to DSP Shailendra Thapa, Assistant Spokesperson of the Armed Police Force, 14 people have died and the rescue of the injured is underway.

DSP Deepak Kumar Rai of District Police Office Tanahun, who was at the accident site, informed that 39 people out of 43 people including the driver of the bus were rescued on the spot and four people were missing in Marsyangdi. According to him, 14 people have been rescued and sent to Abu Khaireni Hospital.

According to DSP Manohar Bhatt, Spokesperson of District Police Office Rupandehi, the UP 53 FT 7623 bus of Kesharwani Transport Travels entered Nepal with an 8-day route permit from Belhia checkpoint on August 4. While bringing the tourists from Bhairahawa to Pokhara and bringing them to Kathmandu, the bus fell off the road on the banks of Marsyangdi river.
